EXHIBITION: O.R.I.E.N.T

The Cluj-Napoca Art Museum, a public institution of county interest, which operates under the authority of the Cluj County Council, invites you to visit, between October 4-22, 2023, the international art exhibition ORIENT The opening of the exhibition will take place on Wednesday, October 4,  from at 6 p.m., at the Cluj-Napoca Art Museum. They will speak: Lucian Nastasă-Kovács , the manager of the museum and the curators of the exhibition  Ovidiu Petca and  Attila Iakob .

The exhibition, organized by the Cluj International Graphics Biennale Cultural Foundation, in collaboration with the Cluj-Napoca Art Museum and the Sângeorz-Băi Museum of Comparative Art, is part of the AamA series of events, organized by the Tagus International Center in important museums and cultural centers worldwide. The Cluj-Napoca Art Museum has been included as a collaborating institution since 2022, when the first event of this kind took place. The author of the project and curator of the exhibition is the graphic artist Ovidiu Petca. Co-curators: Chinese artist Qi Luo, professor at the Chinese Academy of Art and Attila Iakob, researcher at the Cluj-Napoca Art Museum.

During the exhibition, 67 artists from 28 countries exhibit their works. Most of them come from the countries of the Far East, addressing a theme specific to this cultural area, but numerous international artists also participate, who have spent a lot of time working in the East at various centers of artistic creation. Among the participants are also important artists from Romania.
