OPEN CALL: AIR 2024 (FOR ARTISTS BASED IN CZECH REPUBLIC)

Petrohradská kolektiv, in collaboration with Jester, is launching a call for applications for a two-month residency. This opportunity is open to artists based in the Czech Republic, offering them a chance to engage in a creative period at Jester in Genk. This pilot year of collaboration expands Petrohradská kolektiv’s activities to include residency opportunities abroad, opening the door for Czech artists to international cultural exchange.

The residency includes:
Accommodation at Jester; Use of the residency house: Jester provides a bedroom in the residency house where the artist also has access to common spaces such as the kitchen, living room, bathroom.

A studio at Jester; Use of the facilities (workspaces): Jester provides access to a studio and makes use of the workspaces available. The artist may use a maximum of 2 workspaces during the residency, to choose from ceramic, wood, metal, or digital/print.

During the work period, artistic and productional support from Jester, during office hours, part-time.

Travel costs up to €500 (depending on the ticket price from the Czech Republic to Genk);
An artist fee of €2,000 (€1,000 per month);

Deadline for applications: September 15, 2024
Duration of the stay: 2 months
The residency period: 15. 10. 2024 — 15. 12. 2024

Results will be available October 1, 2024
