Hosts of the evening:

Patrycja Rozwora is an artist, writer, and podcaster born in Warsaw, currently living and working in Berlin. She trained as a conceptual photographer at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie and later studied at the Critical Studies Department at the Sandberg Institute in Amsterdam. After inheriting a handwritten cookbook from her grandmother Alicja, Patrycja noticed the distinct difference in ‘tastes’ between the West and the ones she knew from home. This began her ongoing visual research into the underrepresented and often simplified stories from the post-socialist and so-called Eastern European countries through her podcast Kitchen Conversations. https://patrycjarozwora.com/

Jose Hernandez is a Mexican designer who discovered his love for cooking after moving to Australia in 2012. He spent years working in kitchens, including at some of Melbourne’s most iconic venues, such as Mamasita, Cumulus Inc., and Amaru. These days, he’s found his way back to working as a designer, but his passion for food and hospitality remains a big part of who he is.
