OP_YOUNG #7 | OPEN CALL FOR THE MENTORING PROGRAM

Until 26 July, OP ENHEIM is accepting applications for the seventh edition of the OP_YOUNG Mentoring Program. We invite artists connected with Lower Silesia who are under 35 years of age at the time of submitting their application.

OP_YOUNG is an initiative launched in 2020 by Kama Wróbel, then director of OP ENHEIM. The program was created to support young talent from the region and to animate the local art scene. Its goal is to introduce young artists into areas of critical and artistic dialogue—both regionally and nationwide. We are pleased to announce that this year’s edition is once again supported by the Berlin-based law and notary office GENTZ.

Within OP_YOUNG, we focus on collaboration with progressive artists of the younger generation. As OP ENHEIM, we are actively involved in supporting their artistic development. So far, we have awarded twelve main prizes and seven distinctions. The works of the laureates have been presented at our Gallery at Plac Solny 4 in Wrocław, and selected pieces have become part of the OP ENHEIM collection.

FORMAT

OP_YOUNG is addressed to all artists under 35 who are connected with Lower Silesia. Based on submitted applications, three individuals will be selected to participate in a nearly year-long program.

WHAT CAN YOU GAIN?

1/ an individual presentation within a group exhibition at the OP ENHEIM headquarters, along with full curatorial development;
2/ a prize of PLN 5,000 gross;
3/ an individual mentoring path; development of artistic practice and project development, as well as preparation for operating in the art market through collaboration with curators and experts;
4/ the possibility to realize a project with production support and a budget of up to PLN 3,500 gross;
5/ professional curatorial, production, and promotional support;

We encourage submissions of both existing projects and concepts ready for realization. All interested participants may submit their proposals by 26 July 2026, 11:59 PM, by completing the Application Form available at www.opyoung.pl.

COMPETITION TIMELINE:

15.06.2026 – announcement of the open call;
26.07.2025 – final deadline for submissions;
July/August 2026 – portfolio review by the Jury (Stage I of the competition);
August/September – individual meetings with artists selected in Stage I;
First half of September – Stage II: jury deliberations;
Second half of September 2026 – announcement of competition results;
