PERFORMANCE: WHEN THE WIND CHANGES DIRECTION

The performance is the final show of the educational drama-museum program of draMSU and will take place at MSU lobby.

Somewhere in the middle of the blue gorge, where the horizon meets the silence, there is an island.

An island called Nobody Knows About Us. One community lives there as well.
A community of people living in harmony with nature, in a world that seemed complete.

Well the wind changed one day.

The community is facing a question – can what’s broken be put together again?

When the wind changes direction, the performance of the students of the educational drama-museum program of draMSU, originated by the method of collective thinking, and inspired by the work Earth for Us by Karla Crnčević, which was presented at the exhibition Fragrance of Freshly Chopped Wood in the winter of 2024-2025 at the Museum of Contemporary Art.

The performance developed through dramatic and artistic creation and is based entirely on the improvisations of the participants – on their thoughts, feelings and perception of the concepts of togetherness, loss and its possible restoration. The process was shaped solely by joint work, play and research. The play brings an emotional story that doesn’t give ready answers, but opens the space for thinking about how communities survive, or shoot, when the wind changes.
