Students of the Academy of Fine Arts collaborated with artists and experts in different projects, creating works that thematize the experience of the Other, personal fears and identities through different artistic media such as animation, sculpture, video and ethnography. The exhibition Bengal Night: Interpretations of the Other and Otherness presents the works of students and members of the artistic community, including documentation of workshops from Vodnjan. The works vary from personal diary entries to experimental approaches to ethnography and questioning one’s own boundaries in relation to the Other. Through artistic methods, the participants explored the relationships between themselves and the Other, challenging established dichotomies and opening up new interpretations and perspectives.
